Attached please find the training schedule for the Spring Depot to be held at Fulton Co. Historical Society (Rochester, IN) April 24 - 25, 2010. Please note the schedule is subject to change to accommodate the training needs of the students and troops. Also note that lunch and supper are the responsibility of the unit and/or individuals. There is no potluck scheduled for this training depot. We look forward to seeing many of you at this event. |

2010 Event Registration Process |

Greetings To All SYW Members,
In the past we have had some issues with getting the SYW group registration turned into event sites in a timely manner. One of the the problems is communication issues; people received the schedule early in the year and marked their personal calendars with event dates and never looked at the SYW schedule again for registration date deadlines. Another problem that I heard about was the unit commanders didn't send the registration information to Stephanie on time without her having to make phone calls to remind them first (guilty as charged). I have also heard of instances where the unit commanders were not personally going to an event so they didn't bother registering others from their group that wanted to attend.
The reason for the deadlines is quite simple the event coordinators have to plan for the weekend in advance (# of port-a-pots, fire wood, fresh water supply, food for group meals, emergency personal etc). Also at some sites (Fort Miamies, Koh-Koh-Mah) space is limited so first come fist serve on getting in on the event. With that being said here is the plan for 2010 registration.
We would still like for the unit commanders to register their group as a whole and if they are not personally attending assign someone who is attending to register the group. However we understand that some times this does not happen so we will take individual registrations, but please try to keep this to a minimum as it means more work for myself and Stephanie.
GROUP REGISTRATION: (Preferred method)
- I will need the unit commanders and/or designate's name and contact information (including cell phone #)
- First and last name of all attendants (men, women, and children)
- The number on combatants
- The number of fielding non-combatants, i.e. flag bearers, musicians, etc.
- The number of civilians
- The number of children
- The number of tents being set up and their sizes (the more accurate the better), include the size with tent lines if beyond the normal size of the tent, i.e a wall tent with ropes.
- Officers who set up a fly in front of their tents please include this information
- Group Dinning fly sizes (with rope line size)
INDIVIDUAL REGISTRATION: (Least preferred)
- Individual name and contact information (including cell #)
- Unit name and commander's name.
- The names of all in your family who are attending and the status (combatants, civilian, children)
- The number of tents being set up and their sizes (the more accurate the better), again please include tent size with rope lines when appropriate, i.e. wall tent with rope line measurement

Seven Years' War will be hosting the Congress & Gala on February 5 - 7, 2010 at Spring Mill Inn in Mitchell, IN. Please note the deadline for SYW room reservation (1/3/2010) has past. If you are able to attend the Congress and need a room you may contact Spring Mill Inn directly at 877-9SPRING. Please indicate you are registering for the SYW Congress & Gala. To attend the Gala you must be pre-registered with SYW. Please contact us here to register. Cost for the Gala meal on Saturday is $18 per person. The meal must be pre-paid. Please submit payment with check or money order made payable to SYW to PO Box 382, Ada, MI 49301. Attached please find the schedule of this year's presenations.
